LVL lash lift treatment

After lots of researching I decided to get LVL lash treatment to my lashes.
I have very straight downward lashes which close my eyes an make them look very tired. I usually curl my lashes every morning for around 5 minutes just to get them to curl. They are stubborn so take a while and then slowly fall back through the day.
Lvl is a lash treatment which straightens lashes and lifts rather that a c-curl which sometime make lashes look shorter.
A protective shield is kept on the eyelids and the lashes and fixed in place with a lash potion. Once completed I had my lashes tinted which makes them very black...no need for mascara!

Here's the result and I loooovvve them!

The Great British Tattoo Show 2013 - Creative team

Hi Guys...sorry its been a while. I have been quite busy this month with fashion photoshoots, teaching and enjoying life!

So last weekend I was head of the Creative team at the Great British Tattoo show in Alexandra Palace in London. We worked backstage geting all the girls ready for the fashion shows throughout the day. It was a fun day with crazy hair and makeup and the team were great. It was nice seeing such quirky fashion styles and amazing tattoos...I especially like the marvel characters :)

I also worked on the exhibition stand where we were doing makeovers and henna tattoos for the not so brave.

Heres some of the pics and a video ...

Vitality show - Earls Court 2013...plus haul

Last week I was at The Vitality Show in Earls Court representing The London Hair Academy. For those who follow my social media, may know I am now part of the Marketing and Events with the Academy and am organising all external activities. So last week I was given 7days to organise a team of hairdressers to represent the school in the shows' official salon. The team I got were absolutely fabulous and worked amazingly. The show was a great success and we cut an styled over 150 people in 4 days!

So in my breaks I couldn't help but shop. There were so many great little exhibitors. I went to 'The Bomb' which is like lush and stocked up in some goodies.
I got 2 scented candles, 2 gift boxes full if bath bombs and body scrub plus body butter. They all smell divine!

I also had my teeth whitened with 'Megawhite'. They use a blue light and guarantee your teeth to get 2-6 shades lighter. They usually charge £250 but at the show it was £79.99....but as I was working at the show I paid just £50! The results weren't that great to be honest but I did go about 2 shades whiter if even that. There's no pain just a little uncomfortable with the mouth guard.

I also bought a furry Russian style hat. Again I got a discount and I love them. They are so snuggly and glad I got them cos the next morning it was snowing here in London....gotta love English spring :(

I also got a few other beauty bits including makeup brushes from 'the vintage cosmetic company' which are a cute 40's style makeup line.
Finally got lots if samples of beauty, health and food goodies!

Keep posted for my next blog!

My latest fashion/beauty buys!

I have times of the year when I invest in a few key high end brands to add to my closet and beauty regime. Although i love high street brands as they are bang on trend I do like having a few key designer pieces.
So far I have bagged a few bits from beauty to fashion.

Wedge sneakers have been around for quite a while and I have lived them from the start. I'm quite short and love that I can have the height and comfort when I wear these. My first pair were the classics 'Ash Coolbis' in black as I wasn't sure if I'd invest in the Isabel Marent...how much wear I'd get from them. The Ash are so comfy but the only negative I have is that from the back the wedge is a little too visible. I like when the sneaker still looks like a real sneaker and these don't really have the same look. I then went to the high street and bought some great ones from River Island a surprisingly from Next.
I decided to invest in another pair this time from Micheal Kors (£220.00). These black leather sneakers really look like sneakers and the hidden 3inch wedge really is totally hidden. The only one thing is for some reason I think they make my feet look quite big...not sure why as there is a 3inch height :s

At the start of the year I bought my Marc by Marc Jacobs baby Aiden(£400.00) which is a key black leather bag which I know I will get lots if use out of. It's the perfect size for all my stuff and I like that I can use the short handles or the shoulder strap.

Alpha liquid gold is something I see all beauty gurus rave about. Now I know why! This stuff is great for your skin and makes my skin feel super smooth and glowy. At £45 it's a special treat for your skin and totally worth it.

Argentum is a moisturiser which I'd never heard of until a few months back when I received samples in my Glossybox. Since using my samples I saw immediate results which I usually never find any product does. Upon application my skin was instantly more radiant and looked so healthy. I'm usually very fussy about my skin care but I did splurge out £147 for this face cream and am excited when using it.

I love wearing glasses and have got myself a new pair of Ray-bans. I usually got for a black plastic frame and a little geek style so I got myself a new even geekier frame :) The Ray-ban 5248 (£100) are a large frame and are very noticeable. They are a pair of statement glasses and not for those who want a subtle look. I love these glasses and feel they suit my face shape and my style. Also I love that I don't need to wear too much eye makeup when I where them as the glasses detract the attention!

That's all my high end shopping for the start of the year....now to work off my credit card bill 😁 !!

Nail colours I'm loving

I love painting my nails! I have my little routine once a week when I sit down and give my hands a tlc treatment but filing my nails and tidying my cuticles. As a makeup artist I always believe appearance matters when working, this applies to hands too.
Recently I have become quite experimental with colours and styles. Last season I only wore the usual berry shades and darker autumnal colours but this year I'm trying all sorts.

I love nudes as they are classics that suit any occasion. My fave nudes are Nails inc and Sally Hanson. My favourite darker shade is by Seche and is the colour I received in my glossybox a couple months back. Right now I'm wearing my tangerine colour by Rommel which I love...feels like a little bit of summer on my hands in this gloomy weather.
